IUM recruits its Librarian


The Electronic Resources and Systems Librarian will ensure management of the library’s resources, e-resources, and systems.

The Librarian will have to ensure optimized, continuous access to the library’s databases, books, journals, and other resources through effective management and troubleshooting of all related systems.


  • Facilitates e-resource connectivity, discovery, and maintenance issues by administering a range of library systems and services.
  • Provides research assistance and instruction to students, faculty, and staff on-site and remotely.
  • Configures and maintains library technologies supporting electronic and other resource access.
  • Manages resource records, usage statistics, licensing terms, and other account and subscription information in consultation with the director.
  • Assesses the effectiveness of electronic resources and identifies ways to make access more effective and efficient.
  • Participates in the evaluation, selection, deselection and ordering of materials in all media
  • Creates clear and efficient workflows for all e-resource and other acquisitions and discovery tasks.
  • Ensure the marketing of library resources and services, keeping users aware of new products/ services.
  • Participates in international accreditation related projects and provides support in related missions, especially related to faculty intellectual contributions materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • English Fluent, French good speaking, other language is an asset.
  • Experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar position is required.
  • 1st experience in a high education establishment or business school is an asset.
  • Graduate degree in library management or/and information science program.
  • Knowledge and understanding of integrated library systems (ILS) including cataloging, acquisitions, administration, and serials modules. Millennium proficiency is a plus.
  • Knowledge of best practices, current trends, and issues in electronic resources management.
  • Ability to configure, maintain and troubleshoot the library ILS and other technologies sufficient to make e-resources and other acquisitions discoverable.
  • Ability to provide research assistance and instruction to users : students, faculty, staff on-site and remotely.
  • Proficiency with technology sufficient to create research tools and presentations.
  • Capacity to build relationships with teaching faculty.
  • Knowledge of scholarly communication issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a high comfort level with innovation and change.
  • Strength of proposal, of animation and of implementation of electronic resources to support “online learning” activities
  • Deployment of tools and resources available at the Group level in relation with Group support services

IUM recruits professors in Marketing, Management, Human Resources Management/Organizational Behavior, in Finance or International Business/Economy

To support its academic development and growth, the International University of Monaco (IUM) is recruiting four professors in the following fields:

  • Marketing: with a focus on luxury marketing or marketing of premium services,
  • Finance,
  • Management/Human resources management/Organizational behavior,
  • International Business/Economy.



The Successful candidates will have a proven research interest in their area of expertise and will participate in the research activities of the IUM/INSEEC joint research center. We look for candidates with proven capability to publish in internationally reputed academic journals.

They will engage in high quality teaching in the various programs of the University (Master, MBA, DBA) including executive education and are expected to be keen to interact with students, to provide a strong commitment to engage in innovative teaching.

They are also expected to supervise master theses and to act as advisors to DBA students. Regarding their experience and profile, they could be involved in the management of some graduate programs.

It is a position of an associate professor or an assistant professor.


The candidates interested in one of the position should have a strong interest in the concerns of his research area. He must hold a PhD in their field of expertise and have demonstrated ability to produce high quality research and publications in recognized peer reviewed academic journals.

For recent graduated PhDs, the quality of the theses and academic references should corroborate the research potential.

Also, candidates must demonstrate strong pedagogical skills and the ability to engage in innovative teaching.

Every professor must speak English fluently as all courses are taught in English.

The specific interest and research dedicated to Luxury, Hospitality, Branding, Innovation or Family Business Sector will be considered as an asset.
