Last week, members of the IUM community participated in the 14th annual edition of the “No Finish Line” Charity Event (16-24 November 2013).
Organized under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II, No Finish Line encourages participants of all ages to walk, run or stroll as far as they can to raise money for worthy causes. For each kilometer completed over the 1,370 meter circuit, 1 euro is donated to the Children & Future Association, of which Princess Stephanie is one of the sponsors.
Money raised during the eight day super marathon will be divided between charitable organizations. In addition to a donation to the Cardio-Thoracic Centre of Monaco for children with heart defects, this year’s funds will also contribute to funding some educational projects for the Children and Future Association Monaco. Financial support for the House of Life project for young people affected by AIDS (in conjunction with AIDS Fight Monaco, presided by Princess Stephanie) will also receive a financial contribution to name only a few.
One of IUM undergraduate student, Sandro Grubisic, has in particular produced a fantastic performance during this year’s No Finish Line. Sandro run 109.863 km. He is currently enrolled in the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) at IUM. To celebrate and thank Sandro for his performance and his commitment to a great cause, the IUM community wanted to officially congratulate Sandro. Moïse Louisy-Louis, professor and Coordinator of the Master Programs in Sport, was delighted to surprise Sandro in class and hand a beautiful IUM sweatshirt. Sandro returned a bright smile in line with his reserved nature.
IUM is also very proud of his team made up of Linamaria, Antonella, Julien, Sophie, Moïse, William, Céline, Elwira, Anna, Raphael and Daria.
Congratulations to everyone! Great job! And thank you for proudly wearing IUM colors… Semper ad altum!
