Internships are such valuable experiences that students gain during their time at IUM!
Not only do internships allow students to apply their knowledge on daily tasks and project management, but it also give them a firsthand look into the industry challenges and issues.
“After finishing my Master’s courses in Luxury Brand Management at the International University of Monaco, I started an internship in Gucci Paris as a retail coordinator in July 2019.
I know that I had this incredible opportunity mainly because of the theoretical and practical skills I acquired during my courses.
Presently, I am working in the Management department offices at Printemps Haussmann. I am supervising and helping the Managers to coordinate six Gucci department stores (Women Accessories, Women Ready to Wear, Women Shoes, Watches and Jewelry, Men Accessories, and Men Ready to Wear). Moreover, my tasks consist of developing studies on monthly mystery shopping, checking schedules for eighty employees, building competitors’ reviews, and learning about accounting, clienteling, and training with professional supervisors.
This internship is a massive opportunity for me to achieve and develop many skills in various retail departments, being immersed in the impressive Gucci house atmosphere, and undertaking everyday new stimulating responsibilities.“
