At the end of May, Dr. Antonella Patras, Dean of IUM, and Dr. Marika Tai
shoff, Director of the Monaco MBA Program, participated in the AMBA International Conference for Deans and Directors held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The two-day conference, which was attended by over 200 Deans and MBA Directors from the world’s leading AMBA accredited business schools, addressed such topical themes as trends in management education; the future of the MBA; the role of ethics and values in leaders of the future—and how these can be taught; as well as the challenges in faculty recruitment and development.
The first keynote speaker was Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the renowned World Economic Forum which, amongst other activities, hosts the annual Davos Forum. His speech described the seven major disruptions that global leaders will have to face in the future, and the role of learning organizations in forging the kinds of leaders able to succeed in this new, radically different environment.
At the end of the Conference, Round Table group discussions were held to summarize the key learnings of the event. Dr. Patras was a member of the panel which then discussed the findings with all the delegates.
