On Saturday June 24th, in the prestigious Salle des Princes of the Grimaldi Forum, the International University of Monaco organized its 29th graduation ceremony.

1300 relatives came from all over the world to celebrate with the students the end of the academic year and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Representing 75 countries, those 286 new graduates have joined the community of IUM alumni (2782 graduates as of today). Families, friends, professors and classmates were all present to applaud their graduates during this 29th graduation ceremony!

IUM prizes reward academic achievements but also ethical values

29th graduation ceremonyDifferent special awards have been delivered during the event: the Best School Spirit Award (delivered by the main sponsor of the event, Blancpain, Manufacture of Haute Horlogerie) recognizing the student who best represents the values of the school, the Monaco Outreach Award (offered by Alumnus,  Michael Bouchard, MBA class of 2007) rewarding the student who best got involved in the Monegasque social life and the Contribution to the Future Award, delivered by Skål International Monaco that recognizes the student who performed the best analysis regarding the future of tourism industry.

The Valedictorians have also been rewarded : one « Major de Promotion » by program and a prize for each of them delivered by one of the event sponsors, Société Générale.

The association « Peace & Sport » was also honored and represented by its President and Founder, Mr.Joël Bouzou, who came to deliver a message regarding the values of his association. Indeed, the IUM has been collaborating with the institution for several years and has created with it a « Master of Sustainable Peace through Sport ».

In terms of novelties, we have noted the graduation of the first cohort of the Bachelor « Monaco Banking & Financial Services program,  offered for the first time this year and created in partnership with the Monegasque Government and the AMAF, l’Association Monégasque des Activités Financières.

The 29th graduation ceremony was followed by a celebratory cocktail offered to families and friends in the foyer of the Grimaldi Forum. Champagne glasses and a lot of picture taking ended the afternoon festivities.

31 years after its birth, the  International University of Monaco offers 4 specializations in Bachelor and 5 Master programs  (in finance, luxury management, international  management, luxury marketing and sport management),  an AMBA- accredited MBA and a DBA.
