1.  ENROLLMENT CONDITIONS

Enrollment in a degree program becomes effective when the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • Admission conditions below are fulfilled. The non‐fulfillment of an admission condition automatically implies the withdrawal of the Admission. Failing to provide the requested documents, falsifying documents, or making false statements to IUM officials, is subject to sanctions by the IUM Disciplinary Committee.
  • Complete and sign the Administrative Enrollment Form, and pay the advance payment.
  • Complete your Academic Enrollment (you will be sent a link to the platform in a later email, enabling you to update and complete your administrative and regulatory data).

Admission conditions

Bachelor of Business Administration

Your admission into the Bachelor of Business Administration program at IUM for the academic year 2022/2023 is conditional to:

  • Successful completion of your High School degree

It is also contingent upon providing the following documents at the latest on Orientation day:

  • Original (or certified copy) of your final high school transcript
  • Certified copy of your high school diploma if graduation is not indicated on your transcript

For transfer students: higher education transcripts, and diploma (if applicable)

Master of Science

Your admission into the Master of Science at IUM for the academic year 2022/2023 is conditional to:

  • Successful completion of your Bachelor degree awarded with 90 US credits or equivalent (for Direct Admission in Term 2, starting in January: 120 US credits required)
  • English proficiency

It is also contingent upon providing the following documents at the latest on Orientation day:

  • Original (or certified copy) of your final university transcript
  • Certified copy of your university diploma if graduation is not indicated on your transcript
  • Proof of English proficiency  as indicated by one of the following tests:
  • TOEFL: minimum required 79
  • IELTS: minimum required 6.0
  • Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE)

Note that the TOEFL and the IELTS Exams are valid only for 2 years – if the exams are older than 2 years they must be retaken to be accepted.

The proof of English proficiency is waived if you are a native English speaker or have studied at an institution where English was the official language for at least three of the last five years.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Your admission into the MBA at IUM for the academic year 2022/2023 is conditional to:

  • Successful completion of your Bachelor degree
  • At least three (3) years of managerial experience
  • English proficiency

It is also contingent upon providing the following documents at the latest on Orientation day:

  • Original (or certified copy) of your final university transcript
  • Certified copy of your university diploma if graduation is not indicated on your transcript
  • Curriculum vitae detailing work experience
  • Proof of English proficiency (minimum C1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR), as indicated by one of the following tests
  • TOEFL: minimum required 92
  • IELTS: minimum required 6.5
  • Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE) or Cambridge Proficiency Exam (CPE) passed with a grade C or better

Note that the TOEFL and the IELTS Exams are valid only for 2 years – if the exams are older than 2 years they must be retaken to be accepted.

The proof of English proficiency is waived if you are a native English speaker or have studied at an institution or worked in a company where English was the official language.

Double degree Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) & Master of Science in Business Research Methods (MSc) delivered with Management Center Innsbruck

Your admission into the double degree DBA-MSc delivered by IUM and Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) for the academic year 2022/2023 is conditional to:

  • Successful completion of either
    • a Master degree (150 US credits or equivalent) and at least five (5) years of managerial experience, or
    • a Bachelor degree (90 US credits or equivalent) and at least seven (7) years of managerial experience
  • English proficiency

It is also contingent upon providing the following documents at the latest on Orientation day:

  • Original (or certified copy) of your final university transcript
  • Certified copy of your university diploma if graduation is not indicated on your transcript
  • Curriculum vitae detailing work experience
  • Proof of English proficiency (minimum C1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR), as indicated by one of the following tests
  • TOEFL: minimum required 92
  • IELTS: minimum required 6.5

Shortly after the Administrative Enrollment, you will receive an email with your IUM email account and login details to the IUM Intranet. On the intranet you will find information about the visa process if necessary, guidance to finding accommodation, subscribing health insurance and other practical matters to prepare your arrival at IUM.

2. TUITION FEES AND APPLICABLE REDUCTIONS

Tuition fees for the upcoming academic year are published on the IUM website

  • Reductions shall be applied based on Monegasque citizenship or residency, being sibling of a current student, being an Alumnus, or enrolling in an MSc program immediately upon completion of IUM  Bachelor degree. Such conditions are not cumulative, and must be notified and documented to the admissions officer at the time of admission. In particular, only a Monaco residency card issued prior to admission at IUM is considered valid documentation of Monaco residency.
  • For Bachelor students transferring from another institution, the enrollment in a given year of studies is conditional to the validation of courses completed at their previous institution, and may be reconsidered depending on the final results obtained. If that is the case, a revised Administrative Enrollment form to a different year of studies may be issued and the corresponding tuition adjusted accordingly.
  • Scholarship recipients will have their scholarship amount deducted from tuition fees.

The rates for tuition fees are set out in the Financial conditions in section 1 hereinabove. The advance payment made by the student will be deducted from the total amount of the tuition fees.

Tuition fees do not include textbooks, housing and living expenses for the period of study, nor travel and accommodation expenses incurred during study trips or semesters abroad that are part of the program of study.

Tuition fees are due in full and payable upon completion of the Administrative Enrollment, according to one of the two payment options set out in the Financial conditions in section 1 – TUITION FEES AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE.

The payment options and deadlines are those selected during the Administrative Enrollment, summarized in section 1 – TUITION FEES AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE. Students who face particular situations (e.g. have subscribed a student loan) and wish to discuss other payment options should contact the Accounting Office at accounting@monaco.edu before the first payment deadline. If payment is not received by the stated deadlines, a late payment fee equal to 1% of the past due amount will accrue per month of delay, starting from the day after the missed deadline.

3. WITHDRAWAL CONDITIONS

In application of Monegasque Law n°1.383 of August 2, 2011, you have a right of cancellation of seven (7) days from the date of signature of the Administrative Enrollment Form without having to justify your reasons or pay any penalties. The date shall be the date marked at the end of the present document. In order to exercise the right of cancellation, you must send a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to IUM. If you duly exercise your right of cancellation, IUM will reimburse any amounts paid within the cancellation period, within thirty (30) days of receipt of the registered letter.

Enrolled students who do not wish to pursue their studies in their program must notify in writing the IUM Academic Administration Office (academicadmin@monaco.edu). They may be eligible for partial or full refund of tuition fees already paid (please refer to the Refund policy section below).

4. DEFERRALS

4.1 Deferral of admitted candidates (not yet enrolled)

Students who are not yet enrolled may ask to defer their start in a program by a maximum of one academic year. To do so they must send a written request to IUM Admission Office (admissions@monaco.edu). If the request is accepted, a letter of deferral and a new admission certificate is issued to reflect the new start date. In order to reserve their place in the program they will have to pay the advance payment. The advance payment is not refundable in case of deferral, but will be deducted from the tuition fees for the new academic year.

4.2 Deferral of enrolled students

Students already enrolled may ask to defer their start in a program by a maximum of one academic year. To do so they must send a written request to IUM Academic Administration Office (academicadmin@monaco.edu). If the request is accepted, a letter of deferral and a new admission certificate is issued to reflect the new start date. Students who defer their start in a program and have already paid part or all of the tuition fees may be eligible to partial refund of the amount already paid (please refer the Refund policy section). The advance payment is not refundable in case of deferral, but will be deducted from the tuition fees for the new academic year.

In case of deferral, scholarships cannot be carried over to the next academic year. A scholarship recipient who defers to the following academic year will lose the scholarship and will need to reapply for a new scholarship for the academic year in which he/she will effectively start in the program.

5. REFUND POLICY

Enrolled students who wish to defer their start in the program or to withdraw from a program may be eligible to partial or full refund of tuition fees already paid. Notification of deferral or withdrawal must be made in writing to IUM Academic Administration Office (academicadmin@monaco.edu).

Eligibility for refund is determined by the Payments and Refund Commission based on the written official notification date and according to the below refund rules. Exceptional mitigating circumstances may be taken into account when determining the refund. Refunds will be made by wire transfer only to the person or organization that paid the tuition. No cash refunds over 100 Euro are possible. If no written notification of deferral or withdrawal is provided, no refund can be made.

*With regard to exceptional circumstances that may arise in relation to the Covid‐19 pandemic, a 100% refund of the advance payment can be claimed in case your application or your travel are impaired by restrictive measures taken by your home country. In order to claim such a refund, you should contact the Admissions Office (admissions@monaco.edu) as soon as possible and provide all relevant official documents. These provisions do not allow an automatic refund and shall apply only in cases where no distance teaching modes are available to the students. All claims shall be examined by the Payments and Refund Commission and decisions shall be made based on the provided supporting documents.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The student acknowledges having been informed that during their academic course IUM may require its students to produce works/creations on a variety of media or materials both material and intangible. The student agrees to transfer to IUM, the rights to works produced in the framework of his/her academic course within IUM as they are created; specifically, the right to reproduce, the right of representation, and the right of adaptation, as defined below:

  • a) Right to reproduce

This right includes the right to reproduce directly or indirectly all or part of works, by any technical procedure known or unknown to date (especially by printing, photocopying, storing in a computer memory, down/uploading, digitalizing, opto-digital technology, etc.…), using any media or material known or unknown to date (in particular paper, magnetic, optical, electronic, computing, digital, etc.…) in any format and all definitions.

  • b) Right of representation

This right includes the right to represent to the general public, to exhibit, to make accessible, to broadcast, to communicate and to make available to the general public all or part of the works in any way, directly or indirectly, by any procedure know or unknown to date, by any communication channel and in particular through digital and computer networks and news networks (Internet, leaflets, brochures posters, social networks or other), Web TV, electronic networks, optical and mobile phone networks using any media or materials in any format and all definitions.

  • c) Right of adaptation

The rights transferred include in particular,

  1. (i) The right to adapt or to have adapted directly or indirectly all or part of the works into any format and all definitions and especially the right to digitalize them, to crop them and to resize them;
  2. (ii) The right to use one or several of the elements which make up the works, alone or in combination with other works;
  3. (iii) The right to translate or have translated all or part of the works into any language;
  4. (iv) The right to reproduce or have reproduced, represent or have represented all or part of the adaptations as defined in the present paragraph c).

The rights mentioned above are granted

  • To be used free of charge, only in the framework of the communication, presentation and promotion of IUM and its programs, particularly during events organized by IUM, open days, fairs, forums, exhibitions;
  • For the whole world for the entire duration of the student’s academic course at IUM, as well as for an additional duration of five (5) years from the date when the student has finished any academic study at IUM for good;
  • To the benefit of IUM, and its assignees, wholly free of charge and consequently with no financial compensation of any kind whatsoever.

7. E-LEARNING PLATFORM

When access is given to an e-learning platform for IUM, the student must first accept the general terms and conditions of use posted online.

8. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

In compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal data, and more specifically with Monegasque Law n. 1.165 of December 23, 1993 relating to personal data protection and the European Regulation 2016/679 dated 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, (GDPR), you have an individual right to access, update or rectify the data, to delete it, to oppose its use on behalf of third parties, or its communication to third parties for prospecting purposes , to limit its processing, to request its portability , or to contest the way we process your personal data as well as the right to stipulate what happens to your personal data in the event of your death .These rights may be exercised simply by addressing a letter to:

  • the DPO department (Data Protection Officer) at the following address: OMNES EDUCATION – Service du DPO Immeuble Grenelle – 43 quai de Grenelle – 75015 PARIS or
  • the School administration at IUM, 14 rue Hubert Clérissi, MC 98000 MONACO .

The application must be signed and accompanied by a photocopy of an identity document bearing your signature and specify the address to which the reply should be sent. In compliance with the law, the request will be dealt with within a maximum period of one (1) month following receipt (time period which may be extended to two (2) months for complex requests). Reminder: abusive requests are punishable by law.

You are also able to opt out of receiving telemarketing calls by registering your telephone number on the BLOCTEL website.

If you consider that our processing of your personal data is contrary to the French laws in force or to your rights, you have the right to file a complaint with the CNIL (the French National Commission for Data Protection and Liberties.

If you consider that our processing of your personal data is contrary to the Monegasque laws in force or to your rights, you can submit a complaint, petition or request for verification to the Commission de contrôle des informations nominatives (CCIN) via its website https://www.ccin.mc/fr/contact, by telephone on (+377) 97 70 22 44 or at 7, rue Suffren Reymond 98000 Monaco.

IUM and the company Organisation et Développement are jointly responsible for processing personal data. Organisation et Développement (hereafter “O&D”), is a simplified joint-stock company registered under French law with a single shareholder and share capital of (nine million forty-one thousand nine hundred) 9,041,900.00 euros. Its head office is located Immeuble Greenelle – 43, quai de Grenelle, 75015 Paris. It is identified at the Paris Commercial and Companies Registry under the SIREN number 445 260 169. O&D is in charge of centralizing and organizing personal data for all its subsidiaries and more generally, all the schools and entities which make up the OMNES EDUCATION group, and in particular for IUM.

The personal data jointly collected and processed by O&D/IUM within the framework of managing your enrollment is the personal data you have voluntarily submitted during your application and enrollment.

You consent that the personal data you have provided us with will be used (jointly by O&D/IUM and their technical service providers) for the following purposes:

  • Execution of obligations based on our contract relationship;
  • Administrative and commercial management of enrollments and your schooling within IUM (on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the RGPD, the processing of personal data being necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party);
  • To comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or in response to requirements imposed by tax authorities’ audits, at the request of a court or if the disclosure of such data is necessary for the continuation of an investigation or proceedings against IUM and/or O&D (based on Article 6(1)(b) of the EDR);
  • Dispatch by IUM of newsletters and commercial offers (based on Article 6(1)(b) of the RGPD) if you consent (check box below).

In addition, if you consent (check box below), IUM and O&D may disclose your personal data:

  • (i) to O&D’s subsidiaries and more generally to other entities of the OMNES EDUCATION group, as well as to O&D and IUM’s partners, so that the latter can send you newsletters and commercial offers and in particular information on their own training programs (on the basis of article 6(1)(a) of the RGPD) ;
  • (ii) to the IUM alumni association so that the latter may include you in its alumni directory and send you information and invitations for the events it organises (on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) of the RGPD).

Your personal data is likely to be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEE). However, every relevant precaution has been taken, especially the use of the standard contractual clauses agreed by the European Commission for contracts relating to the transfer of personal data, which are available on request, so that your personal data remains protected in compliance with the present General Terms and Conditions of Reservation and the OMNES EDUCATION Group Privacy Policy.

Personal data is stored for a variable duration, depending of the type of data concerned.

9. NOTIFICATIONS

In all cases where the present General Terms and Conditions of Enrollment require sending a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, it is specified that this registered letter must be a paper version and not an electronic registered message.

11. APPLICABLE LAW AND COMPETENT JURISDICTION

By express agreement between the Parties, all disputes to which the present contract may give rise, in particular concerning its validity, interpretation, performance, termination, their consequences and their consequences, shall be submitted to the Monegasque jurisdictions in accordance with the sole Monegasque law, even in the event of multiple defendants or a warranty claim.
