A perfect example of this philosophy in action was the recent MSc Finance Study Trip to Luxembourg in March 2026.

The journey from the classroom to a major corporate and investment bank is paved with networking, technical precision, and a strong work ethic. For our Msc in Finance alumnus Max Swinckels, this path led to a new role at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB) in Amsterdam.

Recently appointed as a Junior Middle Officer, Max is now responsible for managing a wide range of banking requests for corporate clients. From Cash Management to the sales of credit solutions, his role is at the center of client service and operational efficiency.

In the world of high finance, theory is only as valuable as its execution. This month, the IUM Finance Society proved that IUM students aren’t just observing the markets, they are leading them. We are proud to announce that our team has secured 1st place at the EuroPitch European University Trading Competition, finishing at the top of the leaderboard with a commanding score of 82 points.

Julia Klimova: Bridging Finance, Leadership, and Creative Expression!

During IUM Career Week, students had the opportunity to attend an insightful finance session led by Filippo Cavalli, partner at Quadrivio Group. The talk offered a deep dive into the world of private equity, with a particular focus on the lifestyle sector, an area where Quadrivio has developed a highly specialized and distinctive investment strategy.

For the tenth time, the IUM teams competed with forty-five other top schools in France.

For the ninth time, the IUM team competed with twenty other top schools in France.

The City of London welcomed students from the master’s in finance for a two-day discovery of the industry! 

For the eighth time, the IUM team will compete with twenty other top schools in France and will research and analyze Amundi Asset Management, the leading European asset manager.

This Fall 2023 intake welcomed 500 new students coming from 60+ different countries. Even though France, Italy, and Monaco are the top 3 countries, we can note an impressive growth of North American students in our student body.

We recently met with Marc Mohnsen, an MBA student from Germany. Marc is a part-time MBA student working as Senior Consultant at CENTUROS.

From May 15th to May 19th, the City of London welcomed students from the IUM Master’s in Finance for a week of discovery and classes which culminated in a Certificate.

We recently met with Thomas Fladby, Bachelor’s alumnus from 2003. He currently works as part of the Responsible Investment team at Danske Bank Asset Management as Chief ESG Specialist.

Dr. Mantovani publishes internationally on several topics, such as contingent claim finance, corporate risk management, and managerial and entrepreneurial finance.
