The International University of Monaco (IUM) is proud to announce that our MSc in Sports Business Management team, MC Motion Agency, featuring students Katelyn McDougall, Kristen Giesler, and Camilla Bianca Trentin, has qualified for the Finals of the International Olympic Case Study Competition 2025–2026.

This prestigious competition is organized by the Olympic Studies Centre in collaboration with Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Following IUM’s success as last year’s competition winners, this year’s team continues the university’s strong tradition in the global sports business landscape.

Competing on a Global Stage

This year’s competition centered on the theme: “Accompanying and Supporting Young Elite Athletes.” Acting as consultancy agencies, students from 16 universities worldwide submitted tender documents and defended their proposals through online presentations. The semi-final task, titled “Shaping a Sport to Address the Needs of Young Elite Athletes for Future Youth Olympic Games,” saw our students present their project: “The Future of Youth Hockey for Generation Alpha.”

Results & Next Steps

We are pleased to share that MC Motion Agency ranked first in their Semi-Final group, officially securing their place in the final round, which takes place in Lausanne.

This achievement highlights the professional relevance of the MSc in Sports Business Management program and its focus on “experiential learning.”

Congratulations to Katelyn, Kristen, and Camilla on this outstanding milestone, and we wish you good luck for the finals!
