On Saturday June 22nd, IUM celebrated its newly graduated students, the class of 2019, with emotion and pride!
In the prestigious Salle des Princes of the Grimaldi Forum, 1500 relatives came from all over the world to celebrate with the students the end of the academic year and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Representing 46 countries, those 260 new graduates have joined the community of IUM alumni (3247 graduates as of today).
Families, friends, professors and classmates were all present to applaud their graduates during this ceremony!
This year, we had the chance to welcome Mr. Bertrand Badré, as our Keynote Speaker for the day.
Mr. Badré is currently CEO at Blue like an Orange Sustainable Capital and Co-Chair Global Future Council Sustainable Development at the World Economic Forum.
Previously, as Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Badré was responsible for the collective financial and risk management strategies of the World Bank Group and for each of the institutions that make up the Group.
Mr Badré has also served in the French Ministry of Finance (1995 to 1999), and has been a Director on a number of boards, including the Supervisory Board of Eurazeo, Haulotte Group, various boards of the leading French regional daily Newspaper Group Ouest France, and subsidiaries of Crédit Agricole and Sociéte Générale.

Arijana and Mihai were both nominated in the 30 Forbes under 30 annual List chronicling the brashest entrepreneurs.
Arijana, MBA Alumna 2016, is the founder of Creative Hub, a leading educational and co-working academy. Mihai, MBA Alumnus 2015, is the CEO & Founder of Modex, among other startups, the world’s first DApp Store allowing for easy, user friendly access to crypto-currencies.
CSR Impact Award
WINNER: Pernille Paulsen, Bachelor in Business Administration
WHAT: Rewarding the student who has distinguished himself or herself for his or her involvement in the local community through volunteering activities and ongoing engagement, within IUM or in Monaco
OFFERED by: Alumnus, Michael Bouchard, MBA class of 2007
Pernille is President of TwoHelp Monaco which provides education to children in need all around the world.
This association is a non-profit organization created at IUM by alumni Carolin Bode & Lambert Diacono and Prof. Damyana Bakardzhieva in July 2014.
Entrepreneurship Award
WINNER: Inès Bensalha, Bachelor in Business Administration
WHAT: distinguishing students who have successfully developed a business idea and are actively contributing to the Monegasque economy

Inès has successful launched her business in Monaco: Inessa Creations. The yound fashion company was selected to open the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week 2019 to present its summer collection « Authentic Chic » and received the “Emerging Made-in-Monaco Award” for her bold and personal style.

The 31st graduation ceremony was followed by a celebratory cocktail offered to families and friends in the foyer of the Grimaldi Forum. Champagne glasses and a lot of picture taking ended the afternoon festivities.

33 years after its birth, the International University of Monaco offers 4 specializations in Bachelor and 5 Master programs (in finance, luxury management, international management, luxury marketing and sport management), an AMBA- accredited MBA and a DBA.
All together, the programs gather more than 650 students in the IUM premises at the stadium Louis II for another few weeks. Then, mid-July, IUM is moving to the Stella building in the Condamine area, in the center of Monaco.
