ORGANIZATION
The International University of Monaco (IUM) is a private institution of higher education founded in 1986 in the Principality of Monaco.
IUM is part of OMNES Education, a private multidisciplinary higher education and research group.
IUM is granted license to deliver diplomas by the Principality of Monaco. It offers degree programs at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels. The Government of Monaco recognizes IUM diplomas (latest renewal by Ministerial Act n. 2023-575 of 27 September 2023).
The School is governed by a Board of Directors chaired by Distinguished Emeritus Professor Bernard Ramanantsoa, former Dean of HEC Paris. The Board of Directors benefits of the advice of an International Advisory Board, chaired by Mrs Caroline Rougaignon-Vernin, President of the Monaco Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) on strategic matters, and of a Scientific Council, chaired by Professor Michel Pham (Kravis Professor of Business, Columbia Business School, New York) on the School’s scientific development.
IUM’s Dean & General Director sits on the Board of Directors and has deputy administrator authority. He is responsible for the execution of the strategic plan approved by the Board of Directors. In this task, he is assisted by the Executive Committee, composed of the Dean & General Director, the Vice Dean, the Director of Corporate Relations, the Director of Research & Faculty Development, the Director of Pedagogy & Student Experience, the Bachelor Program Director, the Head of Development, and the Administrative Manager.
The faculty is organized in three Academic Departments: : Economics & Finance, Marketing & Communication, Strategy & Management and Transversal Skills faculty.
By taking advantage of the unique features of its location, IUM provides a learning environment that combines the benefits of small size with connections to the global world, international diversity, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

True to its Latin motto – SEMPER AD ALTUM –IUM has always pursued a strategy of excellence. International accreditation by leading accrediting bodies such as AACSB International and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) is, of course, at the heart of this strategy. But recognition also comes in other forms; for example, IUM appears regularly in prestigious international rankings such as The Economist Which MBA? Top 100, or CNN-Expansión Global MBA ranking. Offering better and better educational programs and anticipating job market needs remains our primary drive!
