The Beginning of a New Journey
Every September, IUM’s orientation week is a special moment that brings our global community together—and 2025 was no exception. This year, we had the honor of welcoming students from over 70 nationalities across our bachelor’s and master’s programs, spanning Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. While Italy, France, and North America remain top origins, it was exciting to see growing numbers from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Eastern Europe.
Setting the Stage for Success
IUM’s orientation week combines academic excellence with vibrant multicultural experiences. Our diverse cohorts bring together perspectives, ambitions, and aspirations, creating enriching classroom interactions and fostering innovation and leadership. As students walked through the university halls, they connected with peers from different backgrounds, exchanging smiles and forming friendships that reflect the real world.
Meet Your Academic Navigators
The week began with introductions to professors, directors, faculty, and student services teams—key partners who will guide students through their academic and professional journey at IUM. This gave students a chance to build connections, ask questions, and explore the many opportunities available.

Student Life: Find Your Place
University life is more than presentations, assignments, and exams. It’s a chance to discover passions, develop skills, and participate in extracurricular activities. Students explored clubs, associations, and societies—from finance and entrepreneurship to sustainability projects and sports—blending seamlessly into the IUM community.
A Celebration by the Sea
After a week of workshops and introductions, it was time to celebrate. The Welcome Beach Party brought bachelor’s and master’s students together along Monaco’s stunning coastline. Music, laughter, and new friendships made it a perfect start to their journey. What began as a group of strangers quickly became a vibrant, united community.
The Career Center Journey
Students kicked off their Career Center journey with the “Know Yourself” workshop, designed to help them reflect on strengths, blind spots, and personal motivations. Understanding oneself is the first step toward building a meaningful career. As the Career Center team explains: “The path to success starts with self-awareness. Once you understand your strengths and motivations, shaping a career that feels authentic and fulfilling—whether in Monaco, New York, London, or anywhere else—is much easier
Looking Ahead
Orientation Week is more than schedules and presentations—it’s about planting seeds for growth, discovery, and connection. From faculty to first-year students, everyone was reminded why IUM is so special: a place where knowledge meets community, and where students learn not only who they want to become, but also how to get there.
The journey has just begun, and it promises to be full of growth, discovery, and success.
