Prof. Francesco Montani earned his PhD in organizational psychology from the University of Verona in co-tutorship with Paul Valéry University (Montpellier III) in 2013.
Prior to his appointment at the International University of Monaco (IUM), he was assistant professor of organizational psychology at the University of Sherbrooke from 2013 to 2015, and assistant professor of organizational behavior and human resources management at Montpellier Business School from 2015 to 2018. He joined the IUM for the value that this Business School ascribes to behavioral and human resource drivers of organizations’ effective functioning.
His teaching expertise is focused on the behavioral aspects of innovative performance as well as on the mindful and compassionate skills underlying sustainable and responsible decisions-making processes. Prof. Montani is thus expected to contribute to the IUM’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs by training and developing future leaders that will be able to harness the powers of innovation, mindfulness and compassion to enhance the competitiveness of organizations and the flourishing of societies.
His research interests embrace innovative work behavior and its relationships with motivational processes, employee mindfulness, and compassion at work.
His works has been published in relevant scientific journals in the domain of organizational behavior and human resources management, such as Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Journal of Business and Psychology.
