Just another ordinary student seminar with stiff chairs and long lectures? No, not in Monaco!

Monaco Yacht Show Conference 2013

“The Monaco Yacht Show was a magnificent opportunity to get the real gist of luxury: super yachts, high-end technology and design, educated customers and professionals, all in a unique setting that is actually a luxury destination itself – Monaco’s harbor. I would briefly describe it as a complex real lesson about the luxury world.”
Elena Kuji, Master Student in Luxury Goods & Services

IUM and Ms. Annalisa Tarquini, with the help of Eric Althaus and Bertrand Amigues from ALTHAUS Yachting, made it possible for four IUM Master in Luxury Management students to follow their passion for yachting and attend the 1st edition of Monaco Yacht Show Summit in the amazing Grimaldi Forum.

Monaco Yacht Show Conference 2013

The conference was by “invitation only” and gathered numerous specialists from the yachting and other related industries, giving exclusive speeches and presenting intriguing round-table discussions on current and important topics in yachting, such as the state of the superyacht market at the moment, the new expectations of the customers and the future trends in superyachting for the next decades.

We had the chance to see and hear many prominent people from all over the world like Philippe Starck (Starck Network), Daniela Riccardi (CEO of Baccarat), Espen Oeino (Espen Oeino International) just to give an example. The Summit concluded with a neat glass of champagne to enjoy over conversations with the normally-not-so-easy-to-approach experts. We thank the Monaco Yacht Show team for this incredible event.

There is one thing you cannot find in IUM and that is an ordinary student life!
