The group sat outside in the trendy district of Brera alongside MLUX program director, Annalisa Tarquini and several International University of Monaco alumni who now work for Bottega Veneta to discuss working for the Italian luxury house and listen to stories about post-IUM life.
After a lovely evening in the fashion capital, the students boarded an Eastbound train to Vicenza where they had the opportunity to meet with Bottega Veneta human resources managers from around the globe. Alongside several members of the Bottega Veneta team, the students were lead through the pristine production facility where the infamous “intrecciato” leather woven bags are built from scratch. The pride of craftsmanship among all of the artisans, engineers, and designers was inspiring, and emphasized Bottega Veneta’s commitment to quality and discreet luxury.
A quick train ride from Vicenza (after a visit to the Bottega Veneta outlet boutique) brought the students to the beautiful city of Venice, where they spent the night shopping, eating, and wandering along the picturesque canals – a beautiful way to end a memorable and exciting Italian trip.
