On October 18, IUM signed up a partnership with SPORTEL, the must-attend convention for sports marketing & media industry leaders
For a business school, redesigning and adjusting its training programs to meet the employment market’s rapidly evolving needs when it comes to new recruits is an ongoing challenge. It requires discussions, initiatives and a shared vision with key players in each industry. This approach is at the core of the International University of Monaco’s strategy.
Thus, as part of their curriculum, the Master in Sport Business Management students participated actively to the SPORTEL event on different levels:
- Collaboration with the SPORTEL team on the organization of the event from protocol to sponsorship and media.
- Brainstorming about the SPORTEL event, its opportunities and possible developments: interviews of participating companies as well as attendees to better understand their needs and expectations. For the future, a market research supervised by IUM professors on the evolution of the sports media and the (new) international players of the industry is planned.
The research work will be presented to the SPORTEL team and will be the subject of some concrete recommendations for the SPORTEL 30th anniversary which will be celebrated next year.
This partnership is an opportunity for our MSc in Sport Business Management students. As Jean-Philippe Muller, IUM General Director, said “It is the perfect way to learn and also to build professional network!”.
Create et manage by MONACO MEDIAX, SPORTEL has provided the ideal environment for the leaders of the international sports media and technology markets to come together, share knowledge and shape the future of the industry. With conventions, conferences, a summit and events held across the world, SPORTEL Events are must attend occasions for sports business executives that want to do business.
During the Convention, SPORTEL hosts its annual award ceremony: the SPORTELAwards, considered one of the most prestigious awards for the sports marketing & media industry.
