Great success for the 15th No Finish Line Edition!
As every year, mid-November, thousands of people leave their daily occupations to gather on the Port Hercule to run for a great cause: the No Finish Line (NFL). The NFL is a Monegasque sports event, organized annually by the association Children & Future. Alone or in teams, children, adults and elderly people, walk or run to collect a maximum of funds for the association. This year again, the International University of Monaco has participated in this event. A record of 60+ people including IUM students, alumni, faculty and staff have put on their running shoes and sports outfits to run with the Foundation Flavien team. And we have many reasons to be proud: our team totaled more than 17,000 kms and 12,000 laps, which ranks us 2nd among 362 teams! This alone will allow the NFL to donate 20,000 Euros to children-focused projects around the world! GREAT JOB TEAM!!
IUM students, faculty, staff and alumni have run a total of 558 laps or 767 kilometers! The undisputed winner of our internal competition is Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) student Nicolas CHRISTOU with 99 laps and 136 kilometers. CONGRATULATIONS! The university’s ladies were also greatly represented with Bachelor in Communication and Entertainment Management student Laura HAZEN and Dean Antonella PATRAS ranking respectively second and third!
The increase of participants within the students body (both undergraduates and graduates) shows that the future generation is willing to make an effort. In fact, a student from the Bachelor in Communication and Entertainment Management told us that she “enrolled because everyone should try to make a difference”.
We can all deeply thank and congratulate all the participants who have taken part in this event.
Once again, it has been a great success for the Principality of Monaco that is already looking forward to reaching a new record next year, for the 16th No Finish Line Edition! The total amount made available for children-focused projects by the NFL this year is 393,671 Euros!
We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
