The International University of Monaco signed up a partnership with the Automobile Club de Monaco.

Partnership with Automobile Club de Monaco

Mr. Hajjar, General Director of the Automobile Club de Monaco and Mr. Muller, General Director of the International University of Monaco

Since 1911, the Automobile Club de Monaco has been organizing the well known car races in Monaco: the Formula 1 Grand-Prix and the Monte-Carlo Rally as well as their historic and electric versions.

This partnership is an opportunity for our MSc in Sport Business Management students. As part of their curriculum (Event and Venue Management class), they collaborate with the team of the Automobile Club de Monaco, on the organization of these events. From protocol to sponsorship and media, they are involved in different activities to experience the challenges of organizing such events and the team work around it. As Jean-Philippe Muller, IUM General Director, said “It is the perfect way to learn and also to build professional network!”.

In 2016 and 2017, a group of IUM students experimented this integration within the ACM teams during the Formula 1 and the Formula E. “This was amazing, exciting, challenging experience for all the students who could see the “backstage” of these international sport events” said Florent. “I met a lot of people inside and outside the organisation, so this job was really productive also for the “networking part” said also Odoardo.
