Loox from the London Business School, Winners of the Mark Challenge 2017
The Mark Challenge 2017 is a unique luxury business pitching competition hosted by the International University of Monaco that connects students, academic professionals, and business leaders.
This 4th Edition started with 75 teams from 16 countries, all ready to leave their mark during the International Business Plan Competition organized by the International University of Monaco.
On April 25th, at the hotel Novotel of Monaco, the 7 selected teams from 5 universities (Estia from MIP – Milan, Italy, Elysian from IUM – Monaco, Custamaze from IUM – Monaco, Tailored Men from IUM – Monaco, ID Shield from LUISS Business School – Rome, Italy, Sielu from Munich Business School – Munich, Germany and Loox from London Business School – London, UK) presented in front of a professional jury their business idea.
The members of the jury were:
- Nelson Piquet Jr. (president of jury), FIA Formula E World Champion
- Michel Bouquier, Monaco Private Label, Senior Advisor at Finance and Economy department, Monaco
- Gabriele Cavargna Bontosi, Innovation enthusiast at Brioni (Kering Group)
- Veronica Sartori, Director of Merchandising at Burberry
- Francesco Poggioli, CEO MFO Sarl
- Alberto Vergani, President of Helmet Invest spa
After a long deliberation, LOOX from The London Business School was awarded with the first place.
In second place was ELYSIAN from IUM. The third place was given to ESTIA from Politecnico di Milano.
For the audience choice, The International University of Monaco was rewarded for its “Tailored Men”. Finally, the best social entrepreneurship project was given to The London Business School and their LOOX.
LOOX will receive a prize consisting of cash, and a consultancy package provided by the sponsors MONEY MAIL ME, AMBRA VENTURES, INGENIUM MEDIA, and OUIPHI. As the winner of the best Social Entrepreneur Project, LOOX will also be awarded a prize by another sponsor, MONACO IMPACT. The Mark Challenge 2017 is further sponsored by DTF GROUP, and MONACO SARL.
