IUM Professors Bassem Kamar and Damyana Bakardzhieva represented the University at the 7th edition of the bi-annual International Meetings Monaco and the Mediterranean (RIMM).
HSH Prince Albert II at the RIMM They established interesting contacts with representatives of the Union for the Mediterranean, the Institute of the Arab World, the Mediterranean Network of Basin Organizations, the Barcelona Center for International Studies and Documentation, and other regional policymakers, researchers and journalists.

Professor Kamar participated actively in the debate during the third round table entitled “Rising up to the political and energy challenges”, whose purpose was to discuss the changes brought to the Mediterranean region by the Arab Spring, as well as the needed transition towards renewable energies and sustainability.

The two-day symposium took place in March at the Oceanographic Museum under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II and the UNESCO.
