IUM yet again showed Monaco how to party when they took over the Black Diamond nightclub for their Halloween party on the 5th November. The popular venue was transformed into the ‘Black Diamond Mansion’ with fabulous fake ghosts and ghoulies, as well as a coffin and massive spider webs sprayed through the club. It was yet another brilliant success from our very hard working and dedicated Student Association.

Guests were greeted by the SA’s Caroline Lefwander who was dressed as a female Harry Potter, but everyone came dressed in stunning and sometimes hilarious costumes, including the Joker from Batman, a pirate, several people as police officers and the most innovative outfit of the night – two students with painted green faces, eye masks and green t-shirts with a large circle of foil taped to the back, who were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

A great time was had by all – the only downside was when the party tried to move onto the Sass Cafe next door many of the students breached the dress code and were turned away, including a very sad pirate. The SA are preparing for the Christmas Ball, and after the effort put into the Halloween party we can’t wait to see what happens next!
