A very “digital innovation” business trip for the MSc in International Management students

In January, the MSc in International Management students went to Geneva, Switzerland. They were invited by CREA Genève (an INSEEC U partner university) to immerse in the “digital innovation” world.

This week was busy, enriching and enjoyable. Our first days were intense as we met a lot of new people, attended classes, events, and workshops and also tried to visit beautiful Geneva.

3 Masterclasses held by professionals of the digital area

On Monday, “Welcome to a social world” taught by Cedric Rainotte talked about digital transformation, the latest trends in social media, the rise of chatbot and employee advocacy marketing in today’s digital world.

The second day, Sébastien Girard discussed Instagram, Influencers & Bloggers: the leverage of Instagram influencers & bloggers, their profiles and mapping, the types of deals. He also gave us some examples of campaigns.

Finally, on Wednesday, we had a full day on digital innovation and augmented & virtual reality lectured by James Matthewson. He reviewed the latest trends across sectors in digital innovation, how augmented & virtual reality are bringing a better brand experience & product knowledge as well as client services. We finally worked on case studies to implement the new topics seen in class, which also allowed us to get to know the CREA Genève students. Our trip was really about learning and sharing!

Field Visits

During the last two days, we visited Hewlett Packard Enterprise Innovation center in the morning, enabling us to meet the team and to discover the company’s innovations. The afternoon was as stimulating as we got to visit the Patek Philippe Museum and discovered the evolution of watches throughout history through the eyes of one of the most iconic Swiss watchmakers.

The second day concluded our trip on a high note. We attended CREA Digital Day, an event dedicated to learning about the latest trends in digitalization, new technology and innovation. With 1,400 participants and 20 speakers – coming from various backgrounds and industries, we learned a lot!

My week was a truly enjoyable experience.
