International University of Monaco, Monaco, 21 September 2011Tim Scharpf is a German student graduated from the IUM Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA).

He is currently working in the Yacht insurance area at Pantaenius SAM Monaco. After working part time for this company during his Undergraduate studies, Tim got an offer for a permanent position which pleased him a lot. As he said “Sales and Administration are the main tasks. Dealing with clients is the best part as every client is unique. Becoming knowledgeable about yacht insurance is very satisfying. The company working system is demanding due to its complexity. This adds to my enthusiasm about the job.

My BSBA has made the difference in the choice of my employers. Studying in such an international environment is definitely an asset for dealing with customers. I also think I am a quick learner. My good IT skills and time management are also a plus for my employers. ”

Tim does not regret his choice and tell potential students who are thinking of joining IUM: “IUM isn’t an ordinary university and for that reason the experience is special. The international environment cannot be beaten with all the nationalities in one place. Being exposed to many different cultures is something that cannot be found everywhere.”

Tim is also currently finishing a Master in Science in Sport Management at IUM to eventualy change his career path one day and work in the Sport Business Industry. Good luck Tim!
