The Student Association (SA) is run by students for students with the main goal of creating good communication within the student body and a strong community at IUM. All student related issues, whether academic, social, administrative, extra-curricular, or other, can be brought to the attention of the Student Association.
The Student Association has two different functions:
1. The SA is established to deal with student related academic matters, and to communicate questions and concerns to the IUM administration.
It is expected to:

Represent the student body at Academic Committee Meetings;

Bring ideas and concerns regarding the curriculum, academic standards, admissions and retention to the Academic Committee Meetings;

Investigate academic complaints from the student body for accurate representation;

Review and initiate academic proposals;

Address non academic issues which affect the learning environment, such as maintenance and food service;

Perform duties as requested by the President.
2. The SA also ensures that students feel comfortable in their social environment and organizes all student run social events, including Happy Hours, Balls, Movie Nights, Holiday events, and integration weekends.
