IUM was present at the 41st Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) Annual Conference, “Marketing Dynamism & Sustainability: Things Change, Things Stay the Same”, May 16-19, 2012, New Orleans, USA.
Dr. Corine Cohen, IUM professor of Luxury Marketing, and Alexis Chapman, Ph. D. student published an abstract of their work in the refereed proceedings of the conference. The presentation of their research, “Social media strategy and online brand reputation in the luxury industry”, allowed valuable discussions with other researchers.
The AMS annual conference is known for its unique atmosphere. The search for change and sustainability was this year’s conference theme. Scholars from all over the world and across all of the disciplines within marketing had the opportunity to present their theoretical construct and research result. This year, authors from 51 different countries submitted 400 competitive submissions and presented their research over 100 sessions.
This international meeting brought together practitioners, educators, researcher and marketing journals publishers, highlighting new technologies and marketing research practices.
