You'll have many opportunities to practice English both in and out of the classroom: English is the language of instruction at the International University of Monaco and is widely used by the vast international community living in the Principality. As a valued member of the IUM community, you are also welcome to participate in our student clubs and activities.

Course Goals

To confidently use spoken and written English for both academic and social purposes
To comfortably participate in paired and small group discussion
To develop listening and comprehension in English
To use English to research current topics
To be proficient in presentation skills in English
To take the TOEFL test as proof of improved English skills

Learning Conditions

Small group size
Students of different nationalities
English and American tutors
Comfortable and well equipped environment for lab and recording work, and conversation

Continuous assessment of learning needs, feedback and target setting

Longman IBT Toefl text and CD; recording headphones;Toefl test.
