The main mission of the Office of Career Services & Corporate Relations is to enable students to clearly identify their career potential and aspirations, as well as to successfully assist them in finding suitable jobs or start their own business.
In order to answer students' specific needs, the Office of Career Services & Corporate Relations has developed a set of services around 4 types of modules:
The sessions involve a personal self-assessment, based on Motivation and Interests Inventories, as well as on Personality Traits Inventories and Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Tests.
Our MBA students also use Quantic Potential Measurement (QPM), an individual assessment tool, followed by an individual debriefing with a certified coach.
Workshops are scheduled throughout the academic year to assist students with all phases of "self-selling" strategy. The topics include: preparing a compelling résumé and cover letter, mastering interview techniques, mastering networking techniques, and improving communication skills.
Specific sessions are dedicated to job search strategies, the recruitment process, job identification and career patterns within specific industries, such as finance (wealth and asset management as well as investment banking), fast moving consumer goods industries, luxury goods companies and strategic consulting.
Workshops on job hunting in specific countries like Monaco, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Dubai, China etc. are also organized to bridge cultural idiosyncrasies and educate on country specific needs.
The OCS maintains and develops contacts with large corporations as well as with fast growing smaller companies with worldwide ambitions, in order to assist them in their search for managerial talents.
It receives job and internship offers on a daily basis from various industries and countries and carefully matches positions with current students and alumni.
Throughout the academic year, students enjoy numerous opportunities to meet with professionals from various industries. Guest speakers, professional lecturers and recruiters are invited to speak about the specific issues of their industry or about their recruitment process.

Ermegildo Zegna, Bottega Veneta, UBS Wealth Management, HSBC, ES-Ko, Hotel Le Metropole, Faconnable, Frazer Yachts, Barclays Wealth, Bank J Safra, Norman Alex, Michael Page, PErecruit UK.
Field trips are also organized for Master and MBA students to immerse them in the reality of specific markets and sectors. In Geneva, Zurich, London, Paris, Milano, Brussels, Roma or Singapore, the students can explore local markets and meet top executives of prestigious companies.

For the Graduate students pursuing a career in Finance, business trips were recently organized in London and Zurich:

The Graduate students interested in a career in international business and international organization enjoyed the opportunity to visit the European Commission in Brussels and the United Nations in Geneva.

The IUM mentorship program:

It connects eligible MBA and Masters students with local and international business leaders who volunteer to share their knowledge and experience with program participants

The mentors who are required to meet with students at least four times a year, have leadership "C-Level" positions within companies, and most are currently CEO or chairman of multinational companies

Monaco Career Days:

The Monaco Career Days (MCD) is an HR event organized by the IUM Office of Career Services that connects HR managers and recruiters from Europe. It also brings together talented IUM students, from more than 20 different countries, as well as IUM's alumni. (

From 2009 to 2011, the Monaco Career Days have welcomed HR executives from various international companies as: Campari, UBS, Yahoo, Cisco, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna, Honda, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, ING, Nestlé Waters, Nikko Asset management, Geox, Orange, Altran, Vodafone, Boston Consulting Group, Pricewaterhousecoopers, to name a few.
Thematic workshops were also organized to highlight specificities and opportunities of dynamic job market places: Finding a job in Private Equity, recruitment trends in the European Private banking industry or job opportunities in Singapore for international highly skilled people.
