IUM Associations

IUM's Associations are active groups that encourage student initiatives that improve the IUM experience.

Our different associations provide a vibrant, collective and fun community to suit the needs of our diverse and international student body.

Getting involved in a club or activity is a great way to expand your boundaries and interact with people of similar (or different!) interests.

Student Association

The Student Association (SA) is run by students for students with the main goal of creating good communication within the student body and a strong community at IUM. All student related issues, whether academic, social, administrative, extra-curricular, or other, can be brought to the attention of the Student Association. The new SA will try to support your every need.

For the academic year 2008-2009, the SA personnel is as follows:

  President: Radovanovic Nemanja (nradovanovic@monaco.edu)
  Vice President: Irina Bliznashka (ibliznashka@monaco.edu)
  Treasurer: Charles Galbois (chgalbois@monaco.edu)
  Public Relation Officer: Sabeen Armani (sarmani@monaco.edu)

The Student Association has two different functions:

1. The SA is established to deal with student related academic matters, and to communicate questions and concerns to the IUM administration.

It is expected to:
  Represent the student body at Academic Committee Meetings;
  Bring ideas and concerns regarding the curriculum, academic standards, admissions and retention to the Academic Committee Meetings;
  Investigate academic complaints from the student body for accurate representation;
  Review and initiate academic proposals;
  Address non academic issues which affect the learning environment, such as maintenance and food service;
  Perform duties as requested by the President.

2. The SA also ensures that students feel comfortable in their social environment and organizes all student run social events, including Happy Hours, Balls, Movie Nights, Holiday events, and integration weekends.

Entrepreneur's Association

The Entrepreneur Association (EA) was founded in April 2002 by Johannes Pinl, Thomas Karlsson, Anu Pam and Robert Ek.

ABOUT US: Our Mission

The Entrepreneur Association of the International University of Monaco acts as a support group for students with entrepreneurial aspirations. We aim to provide the students with a toolbox of knowledge to start up their entrepreneurial career as well as to promote an active exchange of knowledge and ideas between students and business organizations.

The Association's Structure

The Entrepreneurs Association is an independent body within the International University of Monaco managed by a board of at least four students. The wide range of experience and diverse backgrounds of the board members encourage innovation and creativity. As participants are of all class levels, the continuity of the board is ensured and recent members receive the inside knowledge they will need to later manage the Association on their own.
