You will be a valued member of the IUM student body. Our friendly staff is on hand to help you with immigration, housing and health insurance as well as to facilitate your adjustment to life in a new country. We encourage you to mingle and take part in our numerous university activities. You'll have many opportunities to practice English both in and out of the classroom: English is the language of instruction at the International University of Monaco and is widely used by the vast international community living in the Principality.
We can determine your level with our free-of-charge in-house exam, or you can use a standardized test such as TOEFL or TOEIC. Our courses are geared to learners who have already acquired a foundation in English.
Many students decide to stay and pursue a degree program at IUM. After all, once you have studied English with us, you have a very good idea of the high standard of education at the university. Our Admissions Officer is available on campus to guide you through the admissions process.
You will be assessed on a continuous basis. Quizzes, presentations, essays and practice TOEFL exams will allow both you and your teacher to follow your progress closely. A Certificate of Completion is awarded for successful completion of a course. No university credit is awarded. At the end of your course, you will pass the iBT TOEFL examination, a standardized test of English proficiency.
You will find here the list of courses offered at the Undergraduate level. Our IEL Program Director is available to meet with you and help you to choose the course best suited to your plans. Please contact her at jspoeri@monaco.edu for a placement exam appointment.
