The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program provides a first-class academic syllabus where students gain management skills from our outstanding faculty in all business areas,
including management, accounting, finance, marketing, quantitative methods, operations and logistics.
The BSBA is a 240-ECTS credit (120-US credits) program, which is completed in 9 terms1. This intensive study program allows the students
to complete a full 4 year degree program in 3 years.
All students are required to complete a 3 month internship which provides invaluable hands-on experience in their field of interest, where they can
put into practice the skills learnt at the university. Students may also opt to study abroad with one of our many prestigious partner universities.
As part of the curriculum, the university is also dedicated to teaching the personal skills needed to work in the fast-paced business environment, from being
a team player to a manager and a leader.
The program's distinctive feature, however, centers on its ability to provide thorough preparation for students to continue their studies at the specialized
master's level: the 3-Plus-1 factor. When they graduate on schedule, 3-Plus-1 allows students to complete their bachelors and masters degree in four years.
The hallmark of the BSBA is its emphasis on theory and practice. The program's academic components initially teach communication, management, and information technology skills.
These are taught by the presentation of concepts, case study discussions, applied projects, and business simulation. On successful completion of these theoretical courses, a
12-week internship provides hands-on, practical experience.
Each course builds on acquired knowledge and motivates students to perform at increasingly higher levels. In terms 1-3 students learn the fundamentals of economics
and business, and acquire core communication, quantitative, and computer skills they will utilize in subsequent courses. In term 4 and 5 students tackle more complex,
multifaceted subjects and broaden their knowledge base with courses in finance, marketing, international economics and politics, applied statistics, and operations and supply management.
Term 6 consists of a 3-month internship that can be undertaken anywhere in the world and provides first hand experience in a real business environment.
Terms 7 and 8 integrate global, ethical , and regulatory perspectives into the curriculum culminating in the capstone course on global business strategy. Finally, term 9 comprises a
business simulation and a final thesis where students have the opportunity to carry out an independent project on a subject of specific interest.
The BSBA has four components: business management, business environement, personal development, and the business practicum2.
This 57-credit module ensures students acquire a through grounding in all the business functions: accounting, finance, management, marketing,
operations, and quantitative methods.
The module seeks to ensure that students acquire the knowledge for effective business management.
Students gain an understanding of the business environment by focusing on economics, politics and international relations, the cultural and social environment of business, and the legal environment of business. There is also the option to study abroad.
Personal development focuses on oral and written communication, IT skills; cross-cultural relations; leadership; and ethical awareness, and work collaboratively in teams. Students also gain fluency in a foreign language, with particular emphasis on vocabulary for the business world.
The Business Practicum consists of an international business internship, the final thesis, and a business
simulation. The 3-month international business internship is a project-based learning requirement which brings allows
the students to practise the skills learnt during the first 5 terms of the BSBA in a business environment. On
completion of the internship students present a substantial written report to a panel of professors and business
professionals.
